Support Groups

Sheltering Wings offers a wide range of support groups within the shelter program. The topics covered during support groups change as the needs of residents change. Some examples of support group topics include:

• Dynamics of domestic violence
• Stress management
• Parenting
• Job search/resume writing
• Budgeting
• Nutrition
• Computer Skills
• Substance Abuse

Upon leaving the shelter, all residents will be provided with information regarding Aftercare services. The residents will be encouraged to join relevant Aftercare groups offered though the appropriate agency. Residents may be eligible to continue in groups offered to them while residing at Sheltering Wings.
